Keeping Yahuah At The Center Of Your Marriage

In any marriage, it is crucial to have a strong foundation upon which the relationship can be built. For those who follow the teachings of the Bible, that foundation is none other than Yahuah, the Creator of the universe and the giver of all good things. While it is natural and good for a husband and wife to show affection to each other, they must also focus on Yahuah and come to Him together as one.

In Matthew 22:37-38, Yahusha teaches us to 'love Yahuah your Elohim with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This commandment is the first and greatest of all. When a husband and wife prioritize their relationship with Yahuah, they are better equipped to love each other and to build a strong and healthy marriage.

One of the ways that a couple can prioritize Yahuah in their marriage is by studying the scriptures together. Yahusha teaches us in John 5:39, 'You search the scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness about me.' By studying the scriptures together, a couple can gain a deeper understanding of Yahuah's character, His desires for their marriage, and the principles that can guide them in their relationship.

Another important way to keep Yahuah at the center of your marriage is through prayer. In Philippians 4:6-7, we are taught to 'not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to Yahuah. And the peace of Yahuah, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Messiah Yahusha.' When a husband and wife pray together, they are inviting Yahuah into their marriage and acknowledging their dependence on Him. This can lead to greater unity, peace, and joy in the relationship.

Additionally, it is important for a couple to worship Yahuah together. In Colossians 3:16, we are taught to 'let the word of Messiah dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom,singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to Yahuah.' By worshiping Yahuah together, a couple can express their love and gratitude to Him and be built up in their faith.

In conclusion, while it is good and important for a husband and wife to show affection to each other, they must also prioritize their relationship with Yahuah. By studying the scriptures together, praying together, and worshiping Yahuah together, a couple can build a strong and healthy marriage that is centered on Yahuah.
